Bennie Logan Credits Chiefs Success to Team Chemistry

And it starts at training camp

You know those people who make you feel like you’ve known them forever, even if you’ve just met them? For new defensive tackle Bennie Logan, that person is the Kansas City Chiefs.

And that chemistry is what he believes has led the Chiefs to so much success.

“I think my first day here, after we finished work one day, we ended up going to lunch and talking, and you would think I had been here for years,” Logan said. “I said then that I understand and see why they had so much success.”

Spencer Ware, who was teammates with Logan at LSU for three seasons and a big part of Logan joining the Chiefs, understands how important the family atmosphere is to the team.

“Chemistry goes a long way. If we are all on the same page, we can go out there and achieve exactly what it is that we are trying to accomplish,” Ware said.

That mentality trickles down from the top.

“That’s the thing Andy Reid said, ‘We come here as a family. It’s just not like teammates. When you leave here you guys are tight’ and I’ve seen that from the first day I got here until now,” Logan said.

And Reid believes that all starts with training camp being held at Missouri Western.

“So one nice thing about going to camp is that you are stuck in the dorms here and the cinder blocks and the smell. All those things and they bring us comradery.

“You might complain about the bed, but it brings you together as a team. It helps generate that.

“Now, obviously, you have to go through the highs and the lows of the season and that continues to build on the team and that starts the foundation of it. And I enjoy that part,” Reid said.

Alex Smith agrees with Reid, there’s just something about going away to camp that provides invaluable time with yourBart Starr Jersey teammates—new and old.

And Logan is letting everyone know.

“That’s a thing I tell a lot of guys, even a couple of my friends I have in Philly, I see the reason they had so much success here is just the chemistry they have and they’re really tight guys,” Logan said.

Through just a few Houston Astros Custom Jersey days at camp in pads, it’s already obvious the run-stuffing Custom Angels Jersey mentality Logan brings to the defense is a welcomed-sight for this group. He has been difficult to handle in 9-on-7 Custom Astros Jersey and 1-on-1 situations.

Logan spoke after practice about what he enjoys most about playing along the defensive line.

“I’m just having fun playing with the guys, but when I’m on the field going against an opponent, I just try my best to pretty much embarrass the guy in front of me,” Logan explained. “If that’s run, pass, whatever it’s called for, it’s my job to be destructive upfront and just get after it.”

Good thing he’s on our side.
