It all comes down to this for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Thirteen games spanning the highs, lows and everything in between have led to this Saturday night at Arrowhead Stadium, where the Chiefs will battle the Los Angeles Chargers for the division lead.

The victor will take over the top spot in the AFC West with just two games to go, marking the first time that Kansas City will play a division rival for first place in the division this late in the season in 36 years.

The Chiefs are seeking consecutive division titles for the first time in franchise history, and a win on Saturday would represent an enormous step towards making that a reality.

But it won’t be easy.

The Chargers are perhaps the hottest team in the NFL right now, winning seven of their last nine games after beginning the season 0-4.

One of those early losses was to the Chiefs, who picked off Chargers’ quarterback Philip Rivers three times en route to a 24-10 victory back in Week 3.

Los Angeles has completely turned things around since, averaging nearly 400 yards of total offense in its last 10 games under the direction of the 36-year-old Rivers, who is putting together one of his best seasons as a professional.

The veteran signal caller owns a 97.2 passer rating this season, throwing for 3,611 yards and 23 touchdowns. He hasn’t turned it over in any of his last four games, leading the Chargers to victory in each.

Rivers’ top target has been wide receiver Keenan Allen, who’s hauled in 83 catches for  Custom Canadiens Jersey 1,143 yards and five scores.

The oft-injured Allen has managed to stay on the field for all 13 of Los Angeles’ games this season, his most since 2014, and his presence has played a significant role in the Chargers’ turnaround. He’s tallied a league-leading 39 catches during his team’s four-game winning streak, and his 547 yards through the air are second only to Pittsburgh’s Antonio Brown in that span.

He’s the kind of player that demands attention from a defense, opening things up for other players around him.

“He’s always been a tough guy to cover,” said Defensive Coordinator Bob Sutton. “He’s highly competitive, tough minded, he goes in to make the tough catches and he’s a good route runner. Anytime you have a dynamic player like that, it draws a lot of attention from everybody and, certainly from their standpoint, opens up other players.”

Those other players include wide receivers Tyrell Williams and Travis Benjamin, who are both averaging over 16 yards per catch, and tight end Hunter Henry, who’s scored twice in his last three games.

Tailback Melvin Gordon has also served as a weapon in the passing game, catching 43 passes for 307 yards and four touchdowns, and that’s in addition to his 853 yards on the ground.

Simply put, the Chargers can move the ball, and it’s up to the Chiefs to stop them.

Fortunately for Kansas City, the defense is coming off one of its best performances of the season just last week.

The Chiefs held the Raiders to zero points and just 104 yards of offense through three quarters last Sunday, completely stymieing the Oakland attack.

And as well as Rivers has played this season, he’s struggled in his career against Kansas City, losing his last seven matchups. He’s posted a 68.7 passer rating in those games, tossing 10 interceptions to just five touchdowns.

Conversely, Chiefs’ quarterback and southern California native Alex Smith has been at his best when facing the Chargers.

Smith owns a 105.3 passer rating in his last six games against the Bolts, throwing multiple touchdowns in each of his last three performances.

The 12-year veteran’s next touchdown pass will mark a career-best (24), and his 3,507 yards through the air are already the most of his career with three games to go.

He’s spread the ball around to a pair of receivers that are closing in on some milestones of their own, as wide receiver Tyreek Hill (986) and tight end Travis Kelce (952) are inching towards the 1,000-yard mark for the year.

It’ll represent just the fourth time in franchise history that multiple receivers eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark, and when combined with tailback Kareem Hunt’s 1,046 yards on the ground, it’ll be just the fifth time in NFL history that a running back, wide receiver and tight end all did so on one team.

But in order for Smith to find Hill and Kelce through the air, he’ll need to avoid one of the league’s better pass rushing duos in defensive ends Joey Bosa (11.5 sacks) and Melvin Ingr am (9.0 sacks).

“They’re, as a tandem right now, playing in my opinion as probably the best in the league,” said Offensive Coordinator Matt  Men’s Adidas Montreal Canadiens 14 Tomas Plekanec Authentic Home Red A Patch Hockey Jersey Nagy. “They’re two guys with a lot of spin moves and they create lanes by doing that, then on top of that they’re just full of energy. They’re just very successful this year.”

That energy has carried into the secondary, where the Chargers have posted the league’s third-best passing defense in terms of passing yards per game (200.3) and passer rating (76.1) this season.

Much of that is due to the play of standout cornerback Casey Hayward, who is listed as questionable entering the game with a calf injury.

Hayward’s status could prove critical in a game between two teams that seem so evenly matched across the board, though regardless of who suits up, this weekend’s matchup is what it’s all about when it comes to professional sports.

The Chiefs have a chance to take hold of the division in front of the Arrowhead faithful with the nation watching – marking the first primetime game on a Saturday night in the stadium’s rich history.

It simply doesn’t get much better than this.

Arrowhead Becomes First P Tomas Plekanec Jersey rofessional Stadium to Sell Compostable Peanut Bags

And the Chiefs are nuts about it

After four years of collaboration between the Kansas City Chiefs, BASF, Aramark and Hampton Farms, Arrowhead Stadium became the first-ever professional sports venue to sell a pre-packaged compostable peanut bag this season.

The compostable peanut bag made its debut at the Bills game on November 26th being sold throughout general concessions and in-seat vending.

The idea for Arrowhead to sell a compostable peanut  bag formed after the Chiefs Vice President of Stadium Operations Brandon Hamilton attended a Green Sports Alliance summit in 2013.

Hamilton saw a presentation by BASF, a chemical manufacture, where they had developed a compostable peanut bag that was only sustainable for one day during the Seattle Mariners’ green week.

“As I was developing our green initiative program here, where a big part of it is post-event cleaning and increasing our waste diversion, we’re always looking for ways to do that and part of that is getting all the products that we s Tomas Plekanec Jersey ell to be recyclable or compostable,” Hamilton explained.

And that’s when he thought about taking a crack at the peanut bag.

“The peanut bags are a product that nobody manufactured recyclable or compostable, so I started thinking about what it would take to get a peanut manufacture to give a product that was compostable,” Hamilton said.

Besides seeing the presentation by BASF in 2013, he also met with a representative from BASF to learn everything he could about the compostable peanut bag.

“I realized it was going to take someone with national buying power to make that request of the peanut supplier because they’re not going to do it for one venue that buys 15,000 bags a year,” Hamilton said.

Cue the next convention Hamilton attended with the International Association of Event Managers.

“Aramark was there and I met with some of their corporate people and started pitching them the idea,” Hamilton explained.

That led to setting up a meeting with Aramark, the Chiefs and BASF at Arrowhead where BSAF got on board and started working on the chemical compound to make the bag compostable.

Commence the long supply chain on developing a compostable peanut bag.

BASF makes a chemical resin that then goes to a company that makes film, they make the compostable film and then it goes to a company that prints on the film, then it goes to the packager that actually has a machine that forms the package, puts the peanuts in the package and seals it.

“BASF had to get all these film companies and printing companies on board and then Hampton Farms, who Aramark buys the peanuts from,” Hamilton explained. “So there are a lot of hands that touched a singl Tomas Plekanec Jersey For Sale e package like this.”

For Aramark, the peanut bags bring them back to their roots.

The company’s founder began selling peanuts out of his car in 1932.

“It’s just great to know it’s the history of what we do,” Aramark District Manager Tim Witkowski said. “We’re selling peanuts to people who are going to watch a game who may be here for the first time or who may be here for the hundredth time, that’s part of the experience here.”

“Knowing how hard we work every day to make that experience memorable and know the basis of it came from selling peanuts out of a trunk to selling you a peanut in a way that’s never been done before. It’s impactful,” Witkowski added.

Following the success at Arrowhead, there’s a lot of interest for the compostable peanut bag to be created nationally so other professional and collegiate teams will bring this into their venues.

“We’ve always tried to lead the way here in Kansas City,” Hamilton said. “We were at the right place and right opportunity to make this happen for us, but in the same term we see the same benefit not just for us, but for the country and for our environment.”

With the goal for Arrowhead to sell all compostable or recyclable products, BASF is already working on a product for compostable chip bags.

“We look to innovate here at Arrowhead and lead the pack,” Witkowski sa Men’s Adidas Montreal Canadiens 14 Tomas Plekanec Authentic Home Red A Patch Hockey Jersey id. “We try to stay ahead because that’s what the fans of the Chiefs deserve and expect.”

And there’s nut’n wrong with that.

Chiefs Defeat Chargers, 30-13, For Sole Possession Tomas Plekanec Jersey  of First in the AFC West

Kansas City reclaimed sole possession of first place in the division on Saturday night

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Los Angeles Chargers, 30-13, on Saturday night to take over sole Men’s Adidas Montreal Canadiens 14 Tomas Plekanec Authentic Home Red A Patch Hockey Jersey  possession of first place in the AFC West with two games left in the season.

The Chiefs forced four turnovers on the evening, putting the game away with 20 unanswered points after briefly falling behind early in the second half.

Cornerback Marcus Peters was responsible for three of those takeaways, recording two picks and a forced fumble.

Quarterback Alex Smith completed 23 of 30 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, finding wide receiver Tyreek Hill for a 64-yard score midway through the second quarter.

It was Smith’s 24 Tomas Plekanec Jersey For Sale th touchdown pass of the season, marking a career-high, and the catch put Hill over 1,000 yards receiving for the season.

The second-year wide out is just the third player in franchise history to tally a 1,000-yard season within his first two seasons in the league, joining Dwayne Bowe and Otis Taylor.

Chiefs’ rookie tailback Kareem Hun Tomas Plekanec Jersey t also made some history on Saturday night, passing Joe Delaney for the most rushing yards by a rookie in franchise history. Hunt fini Men’s Authentic Reebok Montreal Canadiens 14 Tomas Plekanec 2016 Winter Classic Ice Hockey Jersey shed the night with 155 yards and a touchdown on the ground while haulin g in a season-high seven catches for 51 yards and a score.

In two games vs. Los Angeles this season, Hunt amassed 389 yards of total offense.

Kicker Harrison Butker added three field goals for Kansas City, including a 51-yard kick in th Custom Canadiens Jersey e fourth quarter.

The Chiefs will return to Arrowhead next week to take on the Miami Dolphins (6-7) on Christmas Eve.

Marcus Peter Tomas Plekanec Jersey s’ Performance on Saturday Night Shouldn’t Be Surprising

He did what he does

There’s not a player in the league who is more adept to taking away the football than the Kansas City Chiefs’ Marcus Peters, who once again showed everyone Saturday night why he’s an All-Pro cornerback.

Peters finished the game with a pair of interceptions, a forced fumble, and had a key tackle in the open field on a third-down play late in the game.

“He was great all week and he was great tod Custom Canadiens Jersey ay,” Chiefs’ coach Andy Reid said of Peters after the game.

It was Peters’ first game back after serving a team-issued one-game suspension, and the third-year player made his presence known.

The two interceptions on the night now give Peters a total of 19 for his career.

Since 2015—when Peters entered the league as the Chiefs’ first-round pick (No. 18 overall), the next-best player in that span is the Raiders’ Reggie Nelson, who has 13 interceptions. After Nelson, there are five players tied for third with 11 picks a piece.

After the game, veteran safety Ron Parker spoke about one of the interceptions, which illustrates what makes Peters so special.

“I was in c Men’s Adidas Montreal Canadiens 14 Tomas Plekanec Authentic Home Red A Patch Hockey Jersey overage and my man busted a seven route and I thought [Rivers] was going to throw to my man,” he explained. “Come to find out, Marcus was hanging on my route, too. He was hanging on my route and was playing his route at the same time. He did a great job.

“The kid is smart, he knows the game. I sat and watched the ball go into the air and I just knew Marcus was going to be there. He did a good job of finding the ball and making the play.”

Going into the game Saturday night, the Chiefs’ defensive players knew they would have opportunities to make plays against Rivers, who has never been afraid to chuck it around, and one of the reasons they were able to make those plays late in the game was because of all the p Tomas Plekanec Jersey For Sale ressure by the front seven early in the game.

They had established a tone.

“We definitely wanted to put pressure on Rivers,” cornerback Darrelle Revis said. “We definitely know he’s a gun slinger. He does take chances. Tomas Plekanec Jersey  He does take risks in the passing game. We just happened to put pressure on him with the front seven. The guys did a great job. We happened to come out with some turnovers.”

The Chiefs finished with four turnovers on the day, holding Rivers to just 20 of 36 for 227 yards with three interceptions and one touchdown.

Coming into that game, Rivers was one of the hottest quarterbacks in the league—completing 70 percent of his passes with eight touchdowns and no interceptions over his last four games, but the combination of pressure up front early and guys making plays on the back end proved to be the difference on that side of the ball.

And much of that can be attributed to Peters, who settled Men’s Authentic Reebok Montreal Canadiens 14 Tomas Plekanec 2016 Winter Classic Ice Hockey Jersey  right back into his role and helped lead the Chiefs to one of their biggest divisional wins in recent memory, considering how much was on the line.

“He’s a good player, so every week to him and every snap is the last snap—that’s how he plays the game,” Reid added. “He’s always aggressive in his play, so this was not different that way. I don’t think he was out trying to prove anything. He doesn’t have to. He’s a Pro Bowl corner.”

“He has a chip on his shoulder and that’s how he plays his game,” Revis added.

Considering how often he makes plays, Peters’ performance Saturday night shouldn’t be that surprising. He’s a bonafide playmaker, and he has been from the moment he first stepped onto the field.

Chiefs v Tomas Plekanec Jersey s. Chargers: 10 Observations

Here’s what stood out Saturday night

The Kansas City Chiefs (8-6) beat the Los Angeles Chargers (7-7) by a score of 30-13 Saturday night at Arrowhead Stadium, which gives them a commanding lead in the AFC West with just two regular-season games left to play.

The Chiefs host the Miami Dolphins next Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium, which could see them successfully defend their division title with a victory for the first time in franchise history.

Overall, the Chiefs have won the division eight times, but they have never won it in back-to-back years. They now have an opportunity to do that because of the win over the Chargers on Saturday night.

Here are 10 observations from the game:

1. The atmosphere was what you’d expect

It didn’t take long to notice that the Chiefs’ players were ready for the moment, and it took even less time to see that the crowd was also ready for theirs.

The first Saturday night regular-season primetime game in Arrowhead Stadium history was a memorable one.

The usual noise we’ve come to expect from Chiefs Kingdom was there from the Chargers’ first offensive possession, and then the Chiefs jumped out to an early lead, which is exactly the opposite of what the Chargers had talked about wanting to do all week.

They needed a fast start to try and quiet down the crowd, and instead they got a raucous crowd with even more reason to share their feelings one decibel at a time.

Chiefs’ coach Andy Reid said everyone took it up a notch on Saturday night, including the crowd, and running back Kareem Hunt said that Chiefs fans “are the best in the league.”

It’s tough to argue after that performance, which came when they needed it the most.

2. The Chiefs’ responded in the biggest moment of the year thus far

Early in the third quarter and as they were trailing 10-6, the Chargers took their first second-half possession and marched 88 yards down the field on just six plays as quarterback Philip Rivers hit tight end Antonio Gates to finish off the drive with a 10-yard touchdown.

Just like that, the Chiefs, who had led and controlled the momentum for the entire first half, were put to the test—trailing who many believed was the hottest team in the NFL, 13-10, midway through the third quarter.

Rivers also went 5 for 5 for 88 yards on the drive, which took just 3:27 off the clock.

It was the biggest gut check of the year for the Chiefs, and the way they would respond would go a long way in figuring out what this team was all about.

And the response was special.

Quarterback Alex Smith matched Rivers on the drive, going 5 for 5 himself, and rookie running back Kareem Hunt had 39 yards from scrimmage on a drive that lasted more than seven minutes and covered 69 yards on 12 plays, culminating with a three-yard touchdown from Smith to Hunt.

The Chiefs had to convert four third-downs on the drive, which was  Tomas Plekanec Jersey For Sale ultimately the game-winner as the defense stepped up and the Chargers wouldn’t score the rest of the day.

3. Marcus Peters had a day to remember

Just a week after serving his team-issued one-game suspension, Chiefs’ All-Pro cornerback Marcus Peters returned to the field and had one of the best games of his young career.

Peters finished the game with two interceptions, a forced fumble, and had a phenomenal open-field tackle on Chargers’ receiver Travis Benjamin on a key third down late in the game. He was targeted six times and didn’t allow a reception.

The two interceptions from Peters now gives him 19 for his career, which is still tops in the league since 2015, when he was the Chiefs’ first-round pick (No. 18 overall) out of Washington.

Furthermore, four of Peters’ 19 career interceptions have come against the Chargers, including three this year. Peters had a pick off Rivers in their first meeting back in Los Angeles.

4. Ron Parker joined the pick-parade

On the ensuing fourth-down play after Peters’ fantastic open-field tackle on Benjamin, which left the Chargers facing a fourth-and-1 from the Chiefs’ 47-yard line, Rivers threw one in the direction of veteran safety Ron Parker.

And as he explained after the game, Parker had seen this play and this route before, and he knew exactly what to do.

Parker’s interception came when the Chiefs were leading 23-13, and the Chiefs’ offense would return Parker’s gift 75 yards on just seven plays and punch it into the end zone on Hunt’s 5-yard touchdown run.

5. The Chiefs’ defense closed out the game with a turnover party

On the Chargers’ four offensive possessions that followed the key drive by the Chiefs’ offense late in the third quarter that gave them the lead back, they each ended up resulting in a turnover.

The Chargers went interception, fumble, interception, interception, after the Chiefs punched back.

It was the third time the Chiefs had three interceptions in a game this season, with one of the other games being the Week 3 matchup against the Chargers in Los Angeles.

6. Hunt sets another franchise record

For the second-straight week, Hunt went over the 100-yard rushing mark, and on Saturday night, he also made history.

Hunt passed the late-Joe Delaney for the most rushing yards in a season by a rookie running back in franchise history.

Hunt needed just 76 yards coming into the night to pass Delaney’s single-season mark of 1,121 set back in 1981, and he finished with 24 carries for 155 yards and a score on the ground, but also added seven catches for 51 yards and a score in the passing game as well.

It’s another line in the long and ever-growing resume for Hunt’s offensive rookie of the year candidacy.

Furthermore, Hunt accumulated 327 yards rushing in his two games this year against the Chargers, setting a new franchise record for most rushing yards against one opponent in a single season. The previous record of 315 was held by Jamaal Charles (vs. Denver in ’09).

Hunt now has the rookie franchise record for most carries in a season (242), yards rushing (1,201), and 100-yard rushing games (6).

Also, Hunt’s 1,201 yards rushing currently places him 10th on the franchise’s all-time list for yards rushing in a single season.

7. Chiefs got pressure on Rivers early, which helped lead to takeaways late

It was a story coming into the game, but there haven’t been many teams who have found success getting Rivers to the ground this season. He had been sacked just a league-low 15 times coming into Saturday’s game, but the pressure dialed up by defensive coordinator Bob Sutton Saturday night was effective and impressive.

On the Chargers’ first offensive possession, they faced a third-and-9 from midfield and Su Men’s Authentic Reebok Montreal Canadiens 14 Tomas Plekanec 2016 Winter Classic Ice Hockey Jersey tton sent second-year safety Eric Murray on a blitz up the middle, which Murray had perfectly timed and he brought Rivers to the ground to stymie the Chargers’ first drive.

It was a sign of things to come.

On the Chargers’ next few possessions, Justin Houston would get pressure and Chris Jones would also get a sack of his own—giving him sacks now in back-to-back games.

According to Pro Football Focus, the Chiefs’ defense got pressure on Rivers on 13 of his 38 drop-backs, and they took advantage of that pressure, forcing him to go 5-11 for 83 yards, two interceptions, two sacks, and a 31.8 passer rating.

8. Alex Smith hit Tyreek Hill deep, again

It’s still a thing.

We all talked about it at training camp, and it’s still happening.

Smith, who came into the game leading the NFL with a passer rating of 124.8 on balls that travel at least 21 yards down the field in the air, hit Tyreek Hill for a 64-yard touchdown on third-and-2 midway through the second quarter.

Smith hit him in stride. We saw the peace sign. It was great.

The Chargers’ defense gave Smith a single-high look pre-snap and cornerback Casey Hayward, who came into the game graded as PFF’s top cornerback this season, was one-on-one with Hill on the outside.

Hill blew right past him for the 11th touchdown of at least 50 yards in his career. The play also pushed Hill right past the 1,000-yard receiving mark for the season. He’s just the 12th player in franchise history to accomplish that feat.

And Hill, who has 20 career touchdowns after Saturday’s game, is now averaging a ridiculous 51 yards per play on those scores.

Smith, who finished the game 23 of 30 for 231 yards and two touchdowns, also set a new career-high in touchdown passes in a season with 25. His previous career-high was 23.

Tomas Plekanec Jersey 9. Chiefs defense held the Chargers in check

Over their last four games, the Chargers were averaging more than 460 yards of total offense per game, and they were averaging 6.7 yards per play.

On Saturday night against the Chiefs, the Chargers not only turned it over four times, but they managed just 307 yards of total offense and averaged just 5.1 yards per play.

Rivers finished the game 20 of 36 for 227 yards with three interceptions and a touchdown.

10. Dustin Colquitt climbs up the record books

With his appearance in Saturday’s game, Chiefs’ punter Dustin Colquitt has now played in 204 career games with the franchise, which ranks as the third-most in franchise history.

Only Nick Lowery (212) and Will Shields (224) have played in more.

Chargers’ Joey Bosa Gets Tips from Chiefs’  Tomas Plekanec Jersey Tamba Hali After Saturday’s Game

Hali once again showing what makes him such a special person

After the Kansas City Chiefs’ 30-13 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday night, Tamba Hali—the 12-year NFL veteran who currently ranks second in franchise history with 89.5 career sacks, took some time to pay it forward to the next generation of elite pass rushers in the C Tomas Plekanec Jersey For Sale hargers’ Joey Bosa.

The two were seen on the field after the game with Hali going through some of his moves and his handwork with Bosa.

The social media reaction was what you’d expect.

As unsurprising, yet, still impressive as that was from Hali, it’s not as if they weren’t already familiar with one another. They were.

Both Hali and Bosa were coached in college by the same man—Larry Johnson, Sr.—the father of former Chiefs’ running back Larry Johnson. He coached Hali and the defensive line at Penn State and now holds the same position at Ohio State, where he coached Bosa.

And Bosa had already looked up to Hali, so the fact that he was picking his brain after the game wasn’t that surprising either.

“I like watching Tamba Hali,” Bosa said back at the NFL Scouting Combine a couple of years ago. “He’s one of coach Johnson’s guys, so when I watch him I pretty much see the prototype, exactly what he coaches. He’s fun to watch.”

Bosa said back at the Combine that he had worked out with Hali in the past.

“He’s come in and worked with us, and when you watch his hands and the way he pass rushes, it’s exactly what coach Johnson coaches,” Bosa said. “The way he uses his hands, the way he flips his hips, I just like watching him.”

Much of what Hali was showing Bosa Saturday night came from another one of his mentors, Master Joseph E. Kim, who was proud of his pupil when he saw what he was doing.

When asked about the interaction after the game between Hali and Bosa, Chiefs’ coach Andy Reid wasn’t surprised.

“Not at all, you see (the Broncos’) Von Miller have that offseason program when he gets all the pass rushers together,” Reid explained. “They all pi Men’s Authentic Reebok Montreal Canadiens 14 Tomas Plekanec 2016 Winter Classic Ice Hockey Jersey ck each other’s minds. We do the same things as coaches—try to pick a guys’ mind on a certain thing that you’ve seen, and so the fact that Bosa wants to get better, I think is a rea Men’s Adidas Montreal Canadiens 14 Tomas Plekanec Authentic Home Red A Patch Hockey Jersey l tribute to him and the game. That’s what makes our game great.

“And Tamba, for being an elder statesman and being able to share it, I think that’s something special, too. It’s a un Custom Canadiens Jersey ique bond that these players have in this league, and that’s what makes it such a great thing.”

Bo sa, who is just 22 years old, currently ranks fifth in the NFL with 11.5 sacks, and he’s Pro Football Focus’ top-graded edge rusher this season, amassing 45 quarterback hurries through just 14 games.

And despite that impressive start to his career, Bosa still utilized his time—albeit however limited—around Hali to try and pick up something new.

Simply put: it was a great display of sportsmanship all the way around.

In the Biggest Tomas Plekanec Jersey  Game of His Young Career, Kareem Hunt Delivered

The tailback broke the franchise record for rushing yards by a rookie on Saturday night

The stakes couldn’t be any higher for the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday night, and with the division on the line, rookie tailback Kareem Hunt simply did more of what he’s done all season long.

He delivered.

Hunt rushed for 155 yards and a score on the ground, averaging 6.5 yards per attempt, and caught a season-high seven passes for another 55 yards and a touchdown through the air en route to a Kansas City victory.

The implications of Saturday’s contest were real, as the victor would assume sole possession of first place in the AFC West with just two games to go. It’s a situation that called on the Chiefs’ stars to shine their brightest, and Hunt did just that.

“We know how great of a team we can be,” Hunt said. “We just have to keep taking it game-by-game and just win Men’s Adidas Montreal Canadiens 14 Tomas Plekanec Authentic Home Red A Patch Hockey Jersey ning. Winning is the most important thing and we know how important the rest of these games are now. We just have to treat every game like it’s a playoff game.”

It indeed felt like a playoff atmosphere at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, fueling Hunt to the tune of 206 yards of total offense – or 52 percent of Kansas City’s attack.

It was a performance reminiscent of when Hunt took the league by storm earlier this season, including a Wee Men’s Authentic Reebok Montreal Canadiens 14 Tomas Plekanec 2016 Winter Classic Ice Hockey Jersey k 3 matchup with Los Angeles in which he ran for 172 yards and a score.

With another 155 yards on Saturday, Hunt’s 327 combined yards on the ground in two games against the Chargers set a franchise record for rushing yards against a single opponent in a season. Both outputs also represented the two highest rushing totals Los Angeles has allowed all year.

In an airtight race for the division crown, those performances made the difference.

“It’s a division team and you just have to be able to come out ready to play,” Hunt said. “It was a big game tonight and whoever won put themselves in control.”

And Hunt’s play not only put the Chiefs in control of the division, but also established his rookie campaign as the most prolific in franchise history.

Now with 1,201 yards on the season, Hunt has rushed for more yards as a rookie than any other player in Chiefs’ history, p Tomas Plekanec Jersey assing the late Joe Delaney.

Del aney’s record stood for 36 years.

“I set some early goals, with the biggest thing being I wanted to put the team in a winning position,” Hunt said. “But I just wanted to make the most of my opportunity and definitely wanted to get over 1,000 yards as a rookie.

“I just wanted to contribute to this team.”

Hunt has done that and  Custom Canadiens Jersey more some this season, and it’s caught the eye of his teammates.

“He’s just an all-around running back, which you don’t see that often anymore – especially right out of college,” said fullback Anthony Sherman. “He just does everything he’s asked to do, and you’re seeing the results that we’re getting. It’s been fun to watch him mature over this year and continue to do a great job.”

And he’s set a slew of records along the way.
